Our Pennsylvania partners, Rich Davies and Kevin Dmochowsky, secured summary judgment in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas in favor of a national engineering firm based on the Statute of Repose in a case involving the tragic death of a young maintenance worker and the serious injury of his partner who were working to replace a water meter in an underground concrete vault when a joint buried underground and exterior to the pit separated and flooded the pit. The motion was opposed by the two exceptionally prominent personal injury firms in Philadelphia representing the plaintiffs.
