Patrick practices in the defense of architects, engineers, land surveyors and other design professionals in professional liability suits and defends property owners, construction managers, contractors, developers and design professionals in all other aspects of construction litigation, including labor law, premises liability, and mechanic’s lien foreclosure. In addition, Patrick defends attorneys in legal malpractice actions, defends sponsors, directors, officers, boards, board members and managing agents in condominium/property owner/cooperative association litigation, and handles federal, state and local discrimination and civil rights litigation. Patrick is a member of the firm’s real estate litigation team, litigating, among other things, appraiser/broker/agent malpractice and discrimination matters, as well as defending real estate appraisers, brokers and agents in investigations, hearings and special proceedings initiated by, among others, the New York State Attorney General, the New York Department of State and the Long Island Board of Realtors.
Patrick is also a member of the firm’s complex litigation team, handling such matters as product liability, loss of sepulcher, mold/pest infestation and commercial disputes. Patrick has experience handling appeals; federal, state and local agency hearings; Article 78 proceedings; arbitrations and mediations.
