James’ practice is focused on the defense of corporations in various litigated matters. He has extensive experience in construction litigation, representing owners, general contractors and sub-contractors in various kinds of cases including contract disputes, New York’s Labor Law, construction defect and subrogation claims. He also represents Condominium Associations. As a trial attorney, James has many defense verdicts.
Prior to joining MMP&S, James defended corporate and government entities at an international defense firm in matters involving catastrophic personal injuries, coverage disputes, and contract interpretation and drafting. He also worked for two large accounting firms, building on his background in tax and finance.
