Arthur has more than three decades’ experience handling trials and arbitrations for real estate, insurance, and corporate clients, having tried hundreds of matters to decision or verdict. His main emphasis is in the defense of environmental claims, co-op and condo litigation, and business litigation.
Due to his numerous defense verdicts and successful trial results, he is often called on to ‘parachute’ into high profile or high exposure cases. Arthur also has dozens of successful appellate results including Buist v. Bromley – a critical Second Department ruling in the area of toxic tort.
Arthur frequently lectures to the Bar and to insurers about developments in the law, and for 15 years served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute of Technology teaching business law to matriculating construction managers, facilities managers, and design professionals.
Arthur attended Williams College in Massachusetts (B.A., 1986) and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 1989) on a 7-year academic scholarship.
