Abigail DeMonte

Abigail’s practice encompasses complex civil and commercial disputes, professional liability defense, and litigation arising from real estate development, construction, and business relationships.

Her practice includes representing sponsors, directors, officers, board members, and managing agents in condominium, cooperative, and property owners’ association matters, as well as businesses and other entities in real estate disputes, contractual claims, and related commercial litigation. Abigail also defends architects, engineers, land surveyors, and other design professionals against professional liability claims, and represents property owners, developers, construction managers, and contractors in matters involving construction defects, negligence, Labor Law claims, premises liability, and other complex civil disputes.

Abigail is involved throughout the pretrial litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, dispositive motion practice, and settlement negotiations. Her work encompasses case evaluation, litigation strategy, insurance carrier reporting, the analysis of potential appellate issues, and alternative dispute resolution, including arbitrations and mediations.

Abigail earned her J. D. from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2026, where her legal education combined scholarship with trial advocacy. She served as a Notes Editor for the Touro Law Review and the Journal of Race, Gender, and Ethnicity, and her scholarly Note, The American Dream and the Politics of Promise, was published in the Touro Law Review. She received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy, competed in the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition, and served as a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant. Abigail earned her B. A. in English, cum laude, from St. John’s University, where she was a member of the Honors Program.
