Ivan Mihailov

Ivan’s practice is focused primarily on construction litigation, including representation of architects, engineers, and contractors in breach of contract, professional negligence, and tort claims. Prior to joining MMP&S, Ivan was an associate with another law firm where he handled disputes involving insurance coverage, various aspects of insurance insolvency, banking, financial products, trademark infringement, non-competition clauses, construction, and surety. He was also part of that firm’s eDiscovery team where he led activities to identify, analyze, process, and produce eDiscovery information in commercial, intellectual property, and insurance insolvency litigation matters.

Ivan received a B.S. in Business Management and International Studies from Guilford College in North Carolina in 2005, and he received a J.D. from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia in 2009. While attending Emory Law, Ivan was a member of the Moot Court Society and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. He was also a member of the TI:GER Program, an interdisciplinary program with Georgia Tech connecting Law, MBA, and PhD students to help commercialize new technologies.

A native of Bulgaria, Ivan is fluent in Bulgarian and has lived in the U.S. for the last 20 years.
